The Moray Golf Experience is designed for golfers who want to immerse themselves in both the coastal and inland character of Moray. Over five days, you’ll play nine memorable courses — from the championship links at Moray Old to the quirky charm of Cullen and the scenic parkland of Elgin. Your rounds are fully guided and professionally photographed, ensuring your experience is as well-documented as it is unforgettable. Transport is provided each day from your accommodation to the courses and back, allowing you to focus entirely on the golf.
Day 1 – Moray Old & Moray New (Lossiemouth)
Begin your journey at one of Scotland’s best 36-hole links venues.
Moray Old – Designed by Old Tom Morris in 1889, the Old is a classic championship links with fast-running fairways, deep revetted bunkers, and a demanding finish played in the shadow of RAF Lossiemouth’s aircraft. A genuine top-tier Scottish challenge.
Moray New – Shorter but no less strategic, the New Course offers beautifully shaped greens, plenty of scoring opportunities, and subtle linksland contours. A perfect complement to the Old, and also rated inside Scotland’s top 100.
Your first day sets the tone: traditional links golf at its very best.
Day 2 – Cullen Links & Spey Bay
A celebration of authentic coastal golf unique to this part of Scotland.
Cullen Links – Perhaps the most distinctive course in the country, carved through red sandstone rock formations with blind shots, cliff-top tees, and unforgettable short holes. It’s fun, quirky, historic, and utterly unmistakable.
Spey Bay – A traditional 1907 Ben Sayers design stretching along the Moray Firth. It offers natural dunes, wild rough, exposed fairways, and a raw, windswept links experience that has remained largely unchanged for over a century.
Day 3 – Forres & Elgin
A shift inland to two exceptional courses with contrasting personalities.
Forres Golf Club – A beautifully maintained James Braid woodland layout known for its peaceful setting and strategic design. Expect towering trees, well-protected greens, and a gentle, enjoyable walk.
Elgin Golf Club – Often described as “parkland with a links feel,” Elgin features rolling fairways, superb putting surfaces, and elevated tees with views across the town and surrounding hills. A top-class inland championship course with memorable variety.
Day 4 – Hopeman & Covesea Links
A pure Moray coastline day with two unforgettable settings.
Hopeman Golf Club – Famous for its cliff-top par-3 12th played over a dramatic rocky cove, Hopeman combines sea views, elevated tees, and natural links turf. A local favourite with one of the most photographed holes in the region.
Covesea Links – A beautifully simple and scenic 9-hole course tucked beneath Covesea Lighthouse. It’s relaxed, welcoming, and ideal for capturing natural photography. The rugged coastal backdrop makes this round truly unforgettable.
Day 5 – Maverston
End the tour on one of Moray’s youngest and most enjoyable inland designs.
Maverston Golf Course – Wide fairways, modern shaping, and elevated greens provide a satisfying and fair final round. With generous landing areas and panoramic rural views, Maverston lets you enjoy your closing day at an easy rhythm.
Round off the experience with a relaxed local dinner or an optional whisky tasting to celebrate a week of exceptional golf.
